Scott,
Now that you mention it, I forgot to mention the slight difference between
my Legacy and the factory Legacy (199L) in my recent post about tail fuel in
the MD-11 and it's effect on cruise. With my rearward C.G. compared to 199L, I noticed that 199L had slightly
better dynamic stability in both pitch and roll axis's (HHMMM, did I spell
that right?) than mine. Nothing unsafe, as I was still well within design
C.G. limits, but this was additional motivation to move the C.G. more
forward.

I'll race you anytime - if you survive. The rear CG condition leads to
neutral (or worse, divergent) pitch stability, hard to keep on top of the
beach ball. <<<
