RE: TCM OEM AC Parts:
Hmmm, I am not so sure that buying TCM parts to put AC in my plane is any an advantage over after-market vendors, either.
After all, isn't TCM the culprit that sells an elastomeric alternator gear for a thousand and a half dollars when their designed part fails after a short period?
And, as Bill Hogarty points out, TCM buys OEM AC clutches, marks 'em up just a teeny amount (like double), and sticks 'em on the Malibu.
Well, since TCM doesn't actually make the AC clutches, they probably have a longer MTBF than the rest of the crap that they do make and put in their engines.
