Dan,

Why not try just a simple solution that weighs only about 30 ounces total?

I recently got rid of my BOSE headsets because they were too noisy and
replaced them with Telex Stratus 50 headsets. Yes, the Telex headsets weigh
about 7 ounces each more than the Bose, but they work, and seem no heavier
than my old David Clark headsets.

These Telex headsets are so quiet in the passive mode that often, I forget
to turn on the "active" switch in my Legacy....then it really gets quiet.

I have no sound suppression whatsoever in my Legacy, only the very thin
upholstery panels.

Works for me.

Ron
By the way, one of the best noise solutions I THINK should work well will
only weigh in at about 5-7 pounds.  That will probably be somewhat less
effective than the massive barrier blankets but at a fraction of the weight,
be a lot more palatable.<<<
