Jarrett, I'm building an ES and used Hysol EA 9339 for the H stab, wings, ailerons, elevators and flaps. We mixed full quarts at a time when closing the wings and just mixed it right in the container using a paint mixer attachment on a hand drill. I kept the temperature above 77 degrees for at least the first 12 hours each time for the initial cure. In the winter, I used a closely monitored propane infrared heater in my garage. There were no sticky surfaces after a couple of days curing. They do allow a post cure temperature of up to 180 deg F. One hour at 180 F would give complete cure. It would take longer at lower temperatures. I recommend that you try contacting Loctite directly. My wife was able to talk to one of their chemists over the phone about the shelf life, so they may be able to give you an answer too. Their phone number is 925-458-8000. www.loctite.com Give them a call and see what they say. (BTW) According to Vern, Hysol EA 9339 is not in production any longer. Apparently, Lancair was the only customer buying it. Lancair now is supplying Hysol EA 9360. It has somewhat better properties than the 9339. 9339 9360 Tensile Lap Shear Strength 4500psi 5000psi Peel Strength 20 lb/in 50 lb/in Service Temperature 150 deg F >225 deg F Pot Life 2 hours 50 minutes Mike Salzman LNCE Fairfield, CA arrow54t@yahoo.com
