I started building in 1989 (when Lancair was still in Santa Paula), visited Lancair several times, including 2 Labor Day festivities and the first experimental Legacy Builder Assist Session.  During this time I have witnessed many personnel changes and many builders thought each one was "the end".  This has not been so because many of the "new" staffers were hired from the builder community, thus assuring a good knowledge of the kits and construction issues.  Although time will tell, the sky is not necessarily falling.
