I just cut the hole for the step according to the blue print (dated 1994).
I'm concerned that the step will end up too far 'underneath' the fuselage.
To get off the wing, you need to step over the end of the wing fairing T.E
to hit the step (I usually keep the flaps down to discourage passengers from
stepping on them).  See pictures at http://www.oasissolutions.com/step.htm.
It is somewhat difficult to get up on the wing using the step but it is
definitely scary getting off.  You just hope you don't miss the step.

If you have your step installed, I would appreciate some measurements.

These are my measurements:

- 25" from T.E. of wing (not flap) to leading edge of step (on diagonal).

- 14" down from trailing edge of flap to level with step.

- 9" back from trailing edge of flap to level with step.

- 6.5" (horizontal) from outboard wing fairing to exit of step leg in
fuselage (see http://www.oasissolutions.com/images/step/IMG_1662_1.jpg).
This distance appears to be important.  A smaller distance allows the step
to project outboard and make it easier to hit when getting on or off.

- 1.5" from projection of wing/fairing interface to outboard end of step.
If the step were positioned farther outboard, I think it would be easier to

Did anyone install a handle to help you on and off?

The step also ends up almost 2' off the ground (I'm still on cradles, so
this is a bit of an estimate).  How high is yours off the ground?
