Mike, for what it's worth, remember (if you haven't already thought of it)
that the DME indicates slant range and GPS, ground range. Not usually all
that important in cruise, but just something to keep in mind during an
approach in the clag.

For instance, in a hypothetical, flying directly over the DME transmitter at
10,500 feet will give you a DME of about 2 miles while the GPS will indicate
zero range.
