Hi

I have the piano hinge cowel setup and so to remove the canopy to charge my battery is a pain. Is it possible to charge the battery using the battery lead from the alternator. I guess I would have to turn on the master and pull the breaker on the turn and bank. would this work? Alternately could I charge by disconecting the sensing probe on on the outboard plug  on the external power system and using it to charge. Are there any other ways to skin this cat. Thanks
