Ken & Ric,

I've recently replaced my AVM canopy struts with the generic 60 lb strut
out of the AVM book.  I believe they were also about .2" longer than our
specially designed struts.  The added 5 lbs makes a world of a
difference.  The canopy now slams open.  BTW, the plastic ends are a little chunky.  If you are tight for space
I'd go with the metal ends.
