Having been there, done that, I consider it my civic duty to save you
all several hours of building time. When it comes time to bond the
hinges into the vertical stabilizer, you'll want a 1/4" (straight) steel
rod of approxiomately 4 ft in length. Do as I say, not as I did...don't
go to Home Depot or Lowes or places like that in search of a steel rod.
All they have is garbage and none of it is straight enough for our
purposes! Instead, go directly to the local machine shop in your town
and ask for a piece of 1/4" 303 stainless rod at a cost of about $8.00.
