What started as a wonderful day ended in tragedy today at Reno.  This
morning in our race 99 A.S.S. Legacy, Rick set the world record in the
3km at 347mph.  This afternoon ended in tragedy when Tommy Rose was
killed in a crash in his Questar Venture in the heat race in the Sport
class.  Words can't describe the emotion here in Reno....our thoughts
and prayers are with his family and friends.  What a great high, and
then such an awful low.

To make matters worse, the race 71 Questar crashed on the resulting
landing after this tradegy.  Luckily, the pilot walked away.
