Bob Pastusek has it right - AOA is so important that we put four independent
AOA sensors/systems on the B-1B. The systems measure, evaluate and vote to
give the crew the data necessary to keep an airplane, that can vary rapidly
and wildly in weight, loading and wing-sweep (due to shucking three weapons
bays full of ordinance), flying. Such quad redundance says much about the
importance of an AOA system.
