We are building a Super ES and are getting close to closing out the
right wing. The instructions for installing the Proprietary Software
Systems AOA are OK but not enough detail to give us a good road map and
a lot of confidence.
Marv Kaye: You talked us through a procedure at Sun N Fun, but we did
not take any notes. Would you have a longer write-up of the procedure
and sequence?
Anyone else have some guidance?
Our concerns are: how to do as much as possible before closing out the
wing and how to complete it after closing. Did anyone make an access
panel in the bottom skin? If so, where? How big? What work were you able
to do after closing out? Did you also make a large access hole in the
outboard rib?
We thought that we could make an access panel in the bottom skin and
mount the tube to the top skin before closure. We would then install the
lower tube on the access panel. When the panel is installed the 2 tubes
would match and overlap (mate properly). Anyone done this? There is the
issue of sealing the 2 tubes together. How was this done?
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
