Yes.
The reservoir is just a fluid supply waiting to be drawn into the brake cylinder. My rule is to never give the co-pilot/passenger/CFI/terrorist a brake pedal. Frankly, I am reluctant to to put any controls over there - except for when I want to take my nap.
