I suppose I should have described the mount and installation better. Both
bond flanges of the aluminum frame are 10" long x 1.5" wide with lightening
holes for bonding to the sidewall and floor. The lightening holes were
floxed and one bid of cloth was layed over the flox and overlapped onto the
sidewall. An additional layer of cloth was added to each corner for stress
concentration factors. This provides area and even at a load of 30gs x 5 lbs
=150 lbs / ~15"^2 bond area = 10psi. the aluminum flange was also beaded and
flared for additional strength. I also over proof tested this frame per
instructions for deflection and load. A push-down-with-your-hands estimate
is that it would hold over 300lbs.
