Hi Dan,
       I mounted my ELT on the floor, on the left side of the elevator push rod tunnel, a few inches aft of the flap motor enclosure.   I made a mounting pad from foam and fiberglass with appropriate mounting hardware included. I made an antenna with copper tape as shown on the attached sketch and mounted it vertically just behind the seat on the right side of the fuselage.  The dimensions as shown give you a dual frequency response as required (121.5 and 243 MHz)......Bob Jude
