I'm planning on putting it somewhere in the area of the pressure compensator. The local avionics shop has the equipment to do the skin mapping but I'd have to wait until the airplane is done to do this procedure. It would be so much easier to install the antenna now before bonding on the top. So I was hoping that someone has already done this (skin mapping) on their airplane and found an optimal location. Ideally, the best response would be "every where back there would work", but rarely do things like this work that way. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
