I had thought of using a weatherstrip to cushion vibrating doors but thought
otherwise because you are increasing drag. Any time you experience an
energy situation, you are robbing energy from some other area. Hence you
are robbing yourself of potential, albeit faster speeds. Further any
vibration of a part induces fatigue and eventual failure. Now that you have
isolated the cause I suggest you heat and fit the door to the gear door seat
and eliminate all vibration and movement.
