Remove the ailerons, at the hinge only, by removing the hinge pins or the
screws. Once this is done take a look at the paint line, at the bottom of
the trough, where the curved weight support meets the front of the aileron
spar. Look carefully for a cracked paint line all along the apex of the
spar and weight support. If a cracked paint line is found, it may be
because the weight has started to "work" the support. It seems the paint
will "hold" the weight support until the paint dries and becomes brittle.
Then the paint cracks allowing a little more flexing of the weight support.
This has caused a vibration in one other LNC2.
The support needs to be beefed with bulkheads. I think it was Rick Argenté
who did this when I suggested he check this out on his airplane. It worked.
Maybe Rick could tell you what he did to beef it.
