Mixing some flox with the hysol should cure this.  Spread hysol onto both surfaces to wet it out, scrape as much as you can off with a putty knife or plastic scraper, put it back in the cup, mix in flox until it's no longer runny.  You can put in enough to have the consistency of peanut butter if you want (smooth, not chunky...).  This should solve the "slick hysol" problem, and is recommended procedure for closing wings, so I assume it's strong enough.
