I don't think that anyone has yet mentioned resale value.  If you ever plan
to sell your plane, I think that having dual rudder and brake controls would
be a good selling point/feature.  Kind of like when buying an automobile,
you may not need or want all the fancy stuff, but the next buyer may.  Where
I live, a truck without 4WD and ABS isn't nearly as desirable ...
