What we did was estimate what we were going to need in paint to cover the rudder. The equivalent of a cup of water was our best guess (same cup you mix the epoxy in). With the rudder in a horizontal position supported at the hinges, the cup was placed in the center of the rudder. ( We measured and calculated the center.) We had to add weight to obtain a forward balance by extending the counterbalance forward from the original outline. We ended up with a positive weight forward after final paint. Pays to be lucky. =20 Carl Cadwell, N25CL, 130 hours. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://members.olsusa.com/mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please remember that purchases from the Builders' Bookstore assist with the management of the LML.
