I'm just about finished with my plenum air filter and alt air door. The
remaining problem seems to be how to connect the door to the arm. The
308L-045 ss wire seems to be too rinky-dink for my taste. Problems there
have been discussed here.<<
I'll just throw this out - you can too...
My Cardinal RG has a spring-loaded alternate air door. It remains closed
until there is an obstruction and then it opens inward. No cable, no
operator intervention required. What's wrong with that? (you don't know
that it opened for one thing. Also, the way it is designed if the hinges
fail the door falls into the air box, potential obstructing flow) But
besides that..
At any rate, that's what I plan to use.
