Some of these birds are more beautifully displayed with 3 inch letters vs 12
inch letters which often interferes with the graphics.  FAR regs require 12
inch letters if your normal max cruise is over 180KIAS.  Thus your 183 knot
ASI requires 12 inch letters.  Suggestion, placard your your instrument
panel "Normal Max Cruise 180 KIAS", place a small piee of black tape over
the high end of the green arc on the ASI, change your Pilot Operating
Handbook and note it in your airframe logs and you should be able to use the
three inch letters.
