I guess there's always more than one way to skin the proverbial cat.

I back-threaded a locking nut (fiber or plastic insert type) on the sequence
valve adjusting bolt to serve as a jam-nut. I also applied blue Loc-Tite on
the bolt threads where they engage the valve stem for a double whammy. A
by-product of this method is the fact that the nut position on the bolt
provides a pretty good starting reference for adjustment should the sequence
valve ever need replacement.
