I checked the timing on my IO360-B1B in preparation for the first engine start. I have Slick mags. One has impulse coupling. The points on the non-impulse-coupled mag open at 25 degrees. My question is about the impulse-coupled mag. This mag clicks as the points open, and it is set to top dead center. Is this correct? Should the impulse-coupled mag be set at 0 degrees? Does it then advance 25 degrees as the RPM comes up? The Lycoming manual doesn't seem to talk about setting an impulse-coupled mag (unless I missed it). Thanks for the help.

Only a couple of weeks till first engine start, and only a few more weeks till first flight.
