Not so.  If TK-5's lose pressure the main gear would be lower, thus raising the prop away from the ground since the nose would remain high.
  You are correct that "donut" Lancairs are light on their feet - even to the point of giving you that "skittering" feeling on landing.  Any shock, whether oil-air oleo or spring-shock based helps plant the mains and keep them on the runway....Scott Krueger....92EX
