Rick:

Regarding Enginair, which parts of the workmanship have you found to be lacking?
I have personally seen assemblies, the gearbox assemblies and installed engines
and they appear to be of high quality. Enginair has a top notch building
facility in South Carolina and are shipping completed engines with the
gearboxes.

Like most "experimental" projects, Enginair has experienced a few hiccups. There
were major delays in the development and delivery of a reliable gearbox. This
ate up considerable time and money. After two years a new contract was  awarded
to EPI, Inc. who has designed the current gearbox supplied with the V8.
All this information is at the Enginair web site  http://Engineair.net/ under
"Company Background".

I have not heard of anyone who has paid for an Engineair V8 and "did not get
squat".

What fun to have to have the only flying Legacy (how did you built it so fast)
and a Lancair IV-P Turbine.  Both the best and the coolest airplanes anyone can
build! My question is, how do you decide which one to fly?
Brent
