Well, I have been amazed at the Varity of fittings carried by some of the
larger hydraulic fittings firms, seems they have adapters for just about
anything.  Most of them are steel rather than aluminum but since you are
screwing them into a steel block that should pose no problem.  In fact,
the
one returning my oil to the block is steel.  The Aluminum AN fitting on
the
hose have no problem providing an oil tight seal with the steel fitting -
which had been one of my original concerns about using one (different rate
of expansion of the two metals) - but apparently it works to my benefit.

But, if you can not find an adapter then reuse of a banjo fitting is your
only option - other than perhaps having one specially machined for you.  I
originally had that done before I found out how easy it was to get an
adapter.
