I received a few more interesting comments from Leon:

Your EGT at 1400 seems to be quite a bit on the low side. 1650 Deg F is
about right for max power, and 1500 for "lean of peak" cruise. Under full
load, the EGT has a propensity to skyrocket over 1700 if you don't
carefully control the mixture and timing. I'm wondering why in your case,
it doesn't??
I still don't have ANY idea about what timing you are running on the
engine. As the boost comes up, the timing MUST be retarded, and
preferably, the split between leading & trailing should increase as well.
13B's normally run L = O and T = -20 at idle. Both advance about 12 -15
degrees up to about 3,000 RPM. As the boost comes on, the timing should
retard back to L = Zero and T = -20, the exact amount depending on MAT and
air/fuel ratio.

What EGT readings are others getting?
Does anyone know how the timing split is set up in the EC2? I think the
timing is retarded with boost, but I remember reading somewhere that both
plugs fire at the same time.
