My prediction is that I'll want to take my engine off and put it on a test stand periodically after the plane is built. The simplicity and reliability of having one keyed connector vs having to re-route individual wires and potentially crossing them up will be a big headache saver. I don't think that the connector and the towel bar are exclusionary, though. You can shove the connector through the towel bar and mount it on the inside where there should be a nicer environment for it to live in.
