Hey Guys,
A little while back a message was posted giving Jim Ayers (Less Drag Products, Inc.) as a good source for M/T props.  I have contacted Jim and he has given a pretty good price (that's relative) on a 3-blade M/T prop.  My question is this, has anyone on this list dealt with Mr. Ayers?  If so, was everything handled per agreement?  I have no problem sending Tracy a check for a few thousand dollars, but I don't know this gentleman, and though it would be prudent to ask around first.

Thanks,
Mark S.

Hi Mark,

I can't offer an experience-based opinion on his honesty, but I have met him & he seems to be a nice enough guy. His current claim to fame on the RV list is an insult swapping match with JT Helms, the insurance agent that runs the 'Vanguard' RV insurance program. (Rooted in some misunderstanding of insurance by Jim & some insulting & tactless 'corrections' from JT.)

Why not just place the order in writing, pay him by major credit card & send it through the US Mail? Most credit card companies can & will be a major help if merchants fail to deliver, and Postal Inspectors take a very dim & aggressive view of mail fraud.

Charlie,
Good suggestions.  I emailed the MT factory to verify his dealership authorization and got a reply this morning.  He is highly recommended by them.  Thanks for your input.

Mark
