I'm using the same coils as those on my 2000 Chevy P/U. It has the small LS1 v-8, I think it is a 5.3. Anyway, it has eight individual coils mounted on the valve covers. The connector is on the opposite end as the secondary lead tower. It takes a different connector as the Corvette coil, so make sure you get the right ones. As I recall, I had to make a minor mod to the connectors to get them to fit, but you would never know it by looking. The GM p/n for the connector is 12126487 or PT757 (A/C Delco). The GM p/n for the coil is 12558693, or D581 for the Delco p/n. As for cost, I don't think they were any cheaper than the Corvette counterparts, but I didn't compare prices when ordering. Coils were about $27/ea and the connectors were about $30/ea. Might be cheaper to buy a complete harness from GM. Coil wires were another problem. I got the coil connectors from MSD (call them and they will send a set for free) and then cut up a set of universal plug wires. Mark > Thanks, Kelly > > I'll check it out.
