Think they are the same as his Chev or GMC pickup has. As I recall they offered some advantages over the coils Tracy and others (including me) have. I believe Mark said they were easier to mount (connector on opposite end from plug lead) and used a less expensive connector. They also work with the EC-2. I do not know if the EC-2 program is the same as the LS1 coils called out by Tracy.
