I took them out of the fuse box and connected them = directly to the main power at the firewall in an effort to work out why = my mixture drops when I turn off the alternator (no effect). I think if I had fuses on something as critical as my coils, I = would=20 have a blown fuse indicator LED/neon lamp so I would know what was = going=20 on.  A popped circuit breaker you can see or = feel.
