It does the same for out of parameter oil temps, pressure, water temp/pressure, rpm, etc. You set the high and low limits, and it will give a voice warning if any parameters are exceeded and the unit's display will also begin flashing until you press the cancel button on the face of the unit. Nice to have someone else helping to monitor the engine instruments. It constantly scans all instrument readings.
