Subject: problem solved
Hi, fellow rotary enthusiasts.....Although my 13b engine was running very
well with my wrap-over intake and TWM throttlebody, I still had the
annoying
"aftershutdown drip" problem....seems the fuel coating the intakes slowly
dripped back into the throttlebody (runs slightly downhill), and a few
drops
would drip out past the two butterflies and out the throttlebody after
shutdown. It didn't matter if I shut off the injectors or the fuel pumps
or
the ignition first.....the problem persisted. It was only a few drops,
but
it still annoyed me. I installed this K&N high-flow air cleaner, and
nothing drips any more. Seems the few drops of fuel just gets absorbed by
the washable air filter element, and nothing drips out of the air cleaner
assembly. I tried several starts and re-starts, and there is no evidence
of
fuel anywhere. I suspect that the few drops of fuel that are absorbed by
the air cleaner element just slowly evaporate, because when I removed the
air cleaner about 1/2 hour after shutdown, I could find no traces of fuel
anywhere. Here are a couple of pictures of the installation. Any and all
comments, as usual, are very welcome. Paul Conner, 13b powered SQ2000
