It is misleading as it is located so close to the oil passage where the oil pressure sensor is. There is an oil temp sensor in the pan, but as you know, we are most interested in the temp after the oil cooler as it enters the engine. I don't know if you have relocated your oil filter (I think you said that you have), but if you have then this is an ideal location to install an oil temp sensor. S.
