There is an important rationale for EWP, involving power absorption, efficiency
over various speed ranges, reliability, etc. that make EWP superior in so many
ways to the system it was designed to replace.  Oil pumps are so bullet proof,
simple and reliable that I can't come up with a similar argument for an EOP.  I
am looking for a way in which EOP would constitute an improvement in performance
and/or reliability over the current system and coming up empty.
Help me out here ... what would be the advantage? ... Jim S.
