Well, not simpler than a fuse, but then you can't reset a fuse {:>). 
 
Ah, but I can replace the fuse, much easier than you can replace your CB :-)

Oh, Yeah! Well, we need to have a contest to see if you can replace your fuse as fast as I can push in my CB {:>) 
 
As I mentioned I am not against fuses as I use them in all of my non-critical systems.  2000 hours of flying in military aircraft which use CBs and the sucessful resetting of them has biased me toward CBs.  Resetting does not always or even most of the time work, but my experiences show resetting does work on some occassions.  It would make me very nervous about flying with fuses in critical systems.  Just my personal bias.

Got to go with Ed on this one.   I got into a similar situation on my earlier electrical system (low bat charge current + flight systems demand poping breaker)  and even though the breaker would continue to pop a few minutes after reset,  I was able to land at the airport with the fan turning instead of an off-airport  dead stick.  Only takes one of these incidents to become a CB believer.
