So long as the hose to the RX-2 bottle has a small ID, like 1/4", the bottle can be anywhere. Mine is on the passenger side floor, well below the top of the engine, and works perfectly. I suspect that most people are using the conventional auto layout with an unpressurized recovery tank. Lynn E. Hanover
