Both are reading almost full scale though, about 9 bars. I didn't = measure the output with a meter, since I didn't see the point. For now, I'll probably leave the old mixture gauge temporarily mounted, since I have = so much use for it, and the EM-2 mixture reading isn't available all the = time (on every screen). =20 Trying to lean enough to get a change in readings gave the same engine surging again, but that was at only about 2500 rpms. I tried it around 3500, and was able to turn the mixture knob all the way CCW, and reach mid-scale on both meters. It looks like the O2 is reading right now, = and I just need to do some tuning. I screwed up the 15-17 MAP area the other = day trying to fix the sudden idle issue that Ed explained so well, so I'll probably start with Tracy's defaults again tomorrow, and try to finalize = the tuning of the A controller. B already runs well enough for it's = purpose, so I may just leave it along.=20 The forecast is for 12 kt, direct crosswinds tomorrow, so I'll probably stick to tuning. Maybe the winds Sunday will be more favorable for = someone who hasn't flown in 4 months :-)=20 On another note, particularly for Paul, I replaced my intake air hoses = today (changed "scat" tubing for "sceet" tubing). When I had the tubes off, I could see the blue drop of fuel that was hanging on the edge of the TB = lip. It seems that shutting off the injectors doesn't stop the drip, so I'll = just go back to killing the EC-2 power, which was my normal method before. Cheers, Rusty (haven't heard from John, have we)
