Somewhat related, but I read a technical paper recently that addressed the best type of fuel for a rotary engine and to my surprise, it recommended that the added ethanol burned slightly slower than fuel without and improved efficiency.
Is this common knowledge or blasphemy!

Make certain the o-ring is compatible with the chemicals in auto fuel that is added to make the ethanol stable. Those chems will make their way into the oil in small amounts but over time it will balloon the wrong seals. Fuel sys. o-rings also obviously.
