Just noticed hos name in Gone West in Sports
Aviation.
Name looked familiar but have to admit I don't remember his
rotary story.

I hate to hear that. Herb was a great guy, who hosted a rotary gathering at his home in Memphis back in the late 1990s. At the time, he had a Velocity project that he was planning on converting from Lyc to rotary power. IIRC, that was the event where Ed A. had his RVGlider episode on his way home. The last time I talked to Herb was at one of our Pumpkin Drops here at Slobovia three or four years ago; he had flown down from his home airpark near Memphis with a friend in the friend's Bearhawk.
