I don't know of anyone that have reached 2,000 hours on the same engine and re-drive.

Most rotor heads love to tinker. Tracy Crook, probably one of those with most hours, upgraded to a re-drive of his own design from the Ross drive. First to a 2.17:1, then 2.85:1. He also changed from a junk yard 13B to a Renesis. Looking at the wear of the 13B, it could easily have reached 2,000 hours.

The 13B/Renesis making 180 HP should have no problem reaching 2,000 hours, provided it's properly cooled.

This appears contrary to David Leonard's experience, so he'll have to chime in regrading his reasons for overhaul (what kind of wear?). Note that his is turbocharged.

Tracy would typically cruise on 75 HP -- 160 mph -- in his RV-4, so maybe his data may not be typical. But that would be 160 x 2,000 = 320,000 miles.

Considering the low cost to overhaul a 13B, even 1,000 hours would be acceptable to me.

I only have 850 hours in two 13B powered RV-3s. 575 hours in the first. The rest in my current RV-3B which has 500 hours on it.

Sorry I was more after personal experiences as to what HP they have successfully/reliably been able to operate with in conjunction with a PRSU.

I would say 180 for a 13B (2 rotor) and 270 with a 20B (3 rotor).

Yes, there are some turbocharged, ported, etc. but the above seems the generally achievable.

New to the list, and doing some research for an aircraft design/build project.

Up to what horsepower have people on this list been successful with in aircraft??? By successful I'm talking 2000 TBO sort of success not rate of climb record specials or anything like that.
