Yesterday he discovered a bad fuel leak coming = from under the fuselage. There was some damage to the skin but nothing = he is too concerned with. He determined it was a fuel transfer pump from = the 2 wing tanks. He is unable to fix this. So he plans to fly with = less fuel and therefore change his route to leap frog from shorter = distances rather than longer stretches as he was originally planning.=20 I just heard from him in the past 20 minutes and this is the latest = news: =20 He just this moment texted me and said the weather is looking good and = he will most likely fly today up the coast of Greenland to Kulusuk. All = the airports are closed on Sunday in Greenland and he will attempt = Monday or Tuesday to fly to Reykjavik, Iceland.
