There is an annual European Experimental fly in up in Belgium this Fri-Sun, and I hope to drive up there and see it on Saturday. It would be cool if he dropped in for that event so I could see his creation in person, we’ll see.
I attended the Paris Air Show last weekend and found it interesting how many manufacturers were now out there selling their unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) engines. Turkey and Poland both had interesting Turbo diesel engines for sale that ran on Jet A and were in the 160-200 hp range. I asked about cost, but they didn’t have any final numbers yet.
Wish I could make it to OSH this year, but my plan now is to work until the Fall of 2019 and then get back home and move my RV-9A project into my heated garage and work on it all winter to have it flying in the Spring of ’20. That at least is the goal! :)
Fly safe out there.
