No one has any dates in mind? Before Sun&Fun or after? Hard to go too many weeks before, due to unpredictable weather/runway conditions.

How about a holiday weekend? That might ease scheduling around work, but can interfere with family functions. Neither will be a problem for us, so those who work and/or have family functions on holidays should speak up.

We're flexible; y'all speak up. :-)

My flying for the last year and a half includes 2 to 3 very short flights each week to play tennis (7.5 minutes each way). I warm the engine to at least 110 deg F. before going to 3200 rpm for engine checks. I takeoff full throttle when the oil and water are over 120 deg. F.

Many thanks for the data points; I'm always hungry for hard data from those who are flying. Hearing that you're doing ok with .6 oz/gal is really good news, because I'm currently looking for an oil reservoir to use with Richard Sohn's oil injection pump. When I considered the volume needed for the -7's stock 42 gallons plus the pair of aux tanks, it made me wonder about where I could mount a tank with that much capacity. :-)

We're excited about doing another fly-in, but we need help in deciding when to do it. We'd like to do one in spring or early summer, if that would work for everyone. Feedback is welcome on what time frame will work. I hope that everyone will feel free throw out possible dates, because we apparently had a conflict last year with a canard fly-in (didn't find out until it was over). Anyone who's interested can reply here, or email me off-list with thoughts & possible conflicts.
