Mark,
Let me send along one assembly problem I had with my 1988 13B...that is be
sure the large flexable sealing rings (round and rectangular sections)will
fit and stay in their grooves before gooping anything up..mine were slightly
too small and jumped out really messing up what should have been a fun
assembly day!  (December 19, 2007)

Based on everyone's recommendation I am starting the rebuild process now. I
have a copy of the Mazda engine workshop manual which lists the clearances
for inspection and reuse of parts. I am curious if everyone feels that those
are accurate. In The Overhauling 13b DVD Bruce talks about them being too
conservative. That said does anyone have a working phone number for Bruce Turrentine?

Thanks,
Mark
