I just figured out that Bruce apparently milled about 13mm (or more) off of the pad - basically eliminating the mounting ears altogether (sigh). The outer gallery must be pressurized for the oil pressure relief valve to work. Look for another set screw on the side where he connected the inner and outer galleries. If this is correct, you can use the stock oil pressure port. I like a block on top of the stock filter adaptor stand (removed in your case) so I can measure oil temp going into the rear stationary gear. (The inner gallery).
That also connects to the alignment dowels to supply oil to the front stationary gear. The dowels are the upper oil supply gallery for the front iron. The set screws are threaded plugs.
